The Unix/Linux plugin package is available for AVTECH's Device ManageR software (v3.0.1 and up). It consists of two (3) separate plugins designed to provide functionality that can shutdown and/or reboot Unix/Linux systems and execute Unix/Linux commands remotely across the network. These plugins can be used to shutdown and/or reboot an unlimited number of Unix/Linux systems... individually, in groups, simultaneously, sequentially or according to a defined schedule.
- Unix/Linux Shutdown: The Unix/Linux Shutdown plugin is designed to shutdown Unix/Linux systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Unix/Linux Shutdown action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced power-down of the target system by connecting directly to the system via Telnet using the settings provided during configuration.
- Unix/Linux Reboot: The Unix/Linux Reboot plugin is designed to reboot Unix/Linux systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Unix/Linux Reboot action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced reboot of the target system by connecting directly to the system via Telnet using the settings provided during configuration.
- Unix/Linux Command: The Unix/Linux Command plugin is designed to execute a Unix/Linux command remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Unix/Linux Command action when an alert is detected. This action will perform the configured command on the target system by connecting directly to the system via Telnet using the settings provided during configuration.
